First we start on the exterior, wheels first… always. Once we deep clean and terminate any brake dust, we follow with the wheel wells, ensuring a shiny new well. Pre-rinsing the car is the next step, prepping for it to be foamed. Once the first application of snow foam is on, we let it sit, getting rid of surface contamination. Rinse off, repeat, then wash gently with microfiber mitts and detail brushes. We only wash in straight lines, because who wants swirls on their car, from a detail?! And of course we use the two bucket method. Rinse off, dry, and look at that thang shine ✨
irst we clean the carpets and floor mats (after vacuuming), because we know them shoes kick dirt, EVERYWHERE. Then we move on to those seats, where sweat and who knows what kind of germs build up there, even after a week. Steam cleaning comes in our silver and gold package as well. Then we clean the dash and doors, and of course the door jams, which never get cleaned, so so sad. Once all that is done, we apply a glossy layer of protectant for our silver and gold packages.
Everyone has their own preference! At Trident, we use P&S, ACP, Shine Supply, Koch Chemie, Rupes, and a couple other brands here and there!
A one step correction gets rid of 50-65% of swirls, most common in newer vehicles. A two step correction requires a cutting compound and polish, but removes 80-95% of swirls, most common for anyone looking to have their car basically perfect! A three step correction, which is the rarest, is not recommended unless your car has very bad swirls, scratches, and corrosion in the clear coat. After the three step, it will remove 95% of swirls, making your vehicle shine like you just got it from the dealer.
Ceramic Coating can come in a 2, 5, or 10 year coating. Once prepped and applied, it acts as a flat layer, filling in the cracks of the clear coat. Although you can’t see it, the clear coat is very bumpy and has many “dips.” Because it creates a flat layer, it is easier to maintain, keeping less dirt from sticking to your car. Ceramic coatings are also hydrophobic, creating extreme beading when a storm comes, or you are detailing your car. You can even dry most of your car with water, it’s kind of crazy. CERAMICS ARE NOT SCRATCH PROOF UNLIKE PPF.
The coating brand varies, but can be requested by a customer, however we do recommend 3 different brands. If you are interested in a ceramic coating package, we would recommend contacting us to get a better understanding on what coating will be best for you!
